About SJC

The Subiaco Justice Centre, Inc (SJC) is a not-for-profit community legal service providing access to justice to those in our community that need it the most.

We provide 30-minute consultations with lawyers who determine whether the client has a legal problem, suggest possible options and provide appropriate referrals. The SJC is dedicated to social justice through the provision of legal advice, community partnerships and education which in turn, empowers clients to resolve their legal issues.

The SJC is not a state or federally funded legal centre and the majority of our services have been run completely by volunteers since inception. Over 70% of our referrals come from Legal Aid and other community legal centres who cannot assist those clients. Our goal is to help bridge the gap between disadvantaged members of the community and access to justice.
